For Halloween this year, I decided to ditch the knives and try something new. So instead of a pumpkin carving party, I invited everyone over for a pumpkin decorating party! It allows for more creativity and less potential for injury (I’ve had a few close calls with those carving knives)! First, I gathered supplies from Michael’s and Daiso and set everything up on the dining table. Once everyone arrived, we got to work.
With everyone tapping into their creative and artistic side, the end result was a fabulous bunch of pumpkins! They turned out even better than I had imagined! Maybe we got the munchies from all our hard work, because my friend Patti and I then decided to turn our mini pumpkins into pumpkins-masquerading-as-
For the larger pumpkins, I bought Sugar Pumpkins from Whole Foods. These are the perfect pumpkins for decorating since they are 2-4 lbs, smaller in size than your typical pumpkin, and have smoother surfaces. Check out what we created with these:
And yes, that last one is supposed to be Drake. Obviously. Which one’s your favorite?
Happy Halloween, sesames!
